I would like to spend this time introducing myself. I am Richard Finazzo, a young Kalamazoo native. I have started working on my first guitar with a good family friend of mine who has been in the business for only a very short time. He was trained by an old Gibson luthier and I am in the process of making a J-35 Gibson which will have the neck, back and sides made with local grown, and well figured, cherry.
I would deeply appreciate becoming involved in this guild as a means to continue my learning the art guitar creation.

Thanks,
-Finazzo

Indeed, welcome Richard! I lived in Kalamazoo for 15 years, but there wasn't much lutherie going on in the area other than Heritage Guitars and Abe Wechter. Things happening now, though, and I'm glad to see there's one more in the fold. Guitars SHOULD be made in Kalamazoo!

Come to the Guild meeting on Saturday. It should be fun and educational.
